ABSOLUTE FACTS

With no fact as a referent, what is normative is purely a matter of preference.

“Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.”

Psalm 119:2

The Word of God gives us absolute truth and requirements for every area of our lives which are better than preferences which can be wrong. Like the Psalmist, we need to know, obey our Lord and His will, and seek Him with our entire being. If we obey Him and His Word, we will experience His richest blessings and glorify Him by being extremely fruitful (Joshua 1:7-8; Psalm 1:1-3). So do what the Apostle Paul told Timothy: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (handling) the word of truth” - 2 Timothy 2:15. Submit to the Lordship of Christ and will not disappointed with the results!

If you have not trusted Christ and Him alone to be your Lord and Savior, do so NOW, before it is too late!

TRUTH IS SPIRITUALLY DISCERNED

The unsaved person cannot understand the Word of God because they have not been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and do not have the Holy Spirit to illuminate and teach them.

We, who are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, have the responsibility to yield to His control (Ephesians 5:18) and let Him teach us the Word so that we will know the will of our Lord for all areas of our lives and apply its truths. As we are students of the Word, the Holy Spirit will teach us the prophecies of it and understand what is happening now in our world and what is going to happen.

If Jesus Christ is not your Lord and Savior, repent of all your sin (Luke 13:3,5) and trust Him and Him alone to be your Lord and Savior, while you still have the opportunity.

INDESCRIBABLE JOY

I have not suffered a lot for Christ, but I want to tell you that those times that I have suffered and I knew it was for Jesus, have been some of the happiest times of my entire life. I cannot tell you the indescribable joy that has come into my heart and my life.

When a born-again child of God develops a close walk with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, they will experience the fullness of His joy in times of persecution and in every situation of life. When yielded to the control of the Holy Spirit, He makes real the joy of the Lord in their lives (Ephesians 5:18; Galatians 5:22). Do everyone you come in contact with see the joy of the Lord in your daily living and know that you belong to Him?

RELUCTANCY

If you find a reluctancy to go into the presence of God, there may be unconfessed, unrepented sin in your life. Part of your quiet time is to get your heart clean and pure. Each of us needs to take ourselves by the nap of our necks and confess and repent before we come into God's holy presence to fellowship.

If you have offended a friend, you are going to be reluctant to spend time with them. We cannot afford to do that in regard to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, because we need His loving fellowship, help, strength, wisdom. and richest blessings. So we need to take ourselves by the nap of our necks daily and make sure there is nothing that stands between us and Him!

If our hearts are right with Him, we will come boldly into His presence. “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” – Hebrews 4:16.

When born-again believers daily walk totally surrendered to the Lordship of Christ, allowing Him to live out His life through them, they will have a servant’s heart and will seek the interests and needs of others before their own. Their obedience to put the Lord first in their lives and the interests of others before their own will cause blessings to spill out to others. Unsaved people will hear the Gospel and come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The needs of fellow believers will be met and they will be encouraged, comforted, and challenged to trust the Lord regarding all issues in their lives; they will want to be discipled and grow more and more in the likness of Christ. They will have a strong desire to be used by the Lord to make a difference in the lives of others.

Are you obeying the Lord in all the areas of your life and seeing your obedience spilling out in blessing to others?

IT IS A FACT!

It's a fact of earthly life that when God opens the windows of heaven to bless us, the devil opens the doors of hell to blast us. When God begins moving, the devil fires up all his artillery.

Satan does not want unbelievers to come to Christ so he does everything possible to deceive them.

If you are a born-again believer, he will fire up his artillery to try and devour your testimony and keep you from being effective in reaching lost people for Christ. He does not want you to obey the Lord in the various areas of your life and to experience the Lord’s power and blessings in your life. Everyday, develop a close, submissive relationship with the Lord Jesus so that Satan cannot defeat you!

Surrender your life to the Lord Jesus. Ask Him to forgive you all your sins, trusting Him and Him alone to be your Lord and Savior!

RELIGIOSTY

I believe that a great number of people are going to die and go to hell because they're counting on their religiosity in the church instead of their relationship with Jesus to get them to heaven. They give lip service to repentance and faith, but they've never been born again.

If you attend a church that teaches you have to do good works besides believing in Jesus, you need to get out NOW. If you believe that lie, you are not born-again, you are calling the Lord a liar (He said the work of salvation has been completed by Him, “It is finished” – John 19:30), and you are saying He is not enough. According to our text, you are calling God a liar! Some teach that Jesus Christ is not the only Mediator between you and the Father, denying the truth of 1 Timothy 2:5. “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;…”Only Jesus Christ can give us forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life! “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life” – 1 John 5:12.

If you are born-again, you need to present clearly the Gospel to those who lost and part of heretical teachings

If we want to enjoy a day of peace that surpasses all understanding, a day of the fullness of our Lord’s joy (John 15:11), a day filled with His wisdom for every situation, a day filled with His power, a day of accomplishing His will and bearing much fruit for His glory, we must start the day out with fellowship with Him, submitting to His Lordship, and the authority of His Word. We must maintain that relationship all day long.

We either start every day with complete dependence upon our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ or upon ourselves. If it is the latter, we will be failures. Jesus set the example for us!

If you are not one of His, acknowledge that you are a sinner unable to save yourself, and receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Trust Him and Him alone for your salvation.

-with a Biblical unity in our churches, home relationships, etc.

-lives that model Christlikeness.

-lives that bear tremendous fruit for His glory.

A DENSE FOG

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

There have early mornings when I have driven in a dense fog which made it extremely hard to see where I was going. That is not fun driving!

Sadly, many born-again believers are living in a dense fog because they are not students of the Word of God and, therefore, have a limited knowledge and view of the Lord’s will and purposes for all the areas of their lives. Because of that, they make many wrong decisions, pay great consequences for those decisions, do not receive answers to their prayers, and miss out on His richest blessings. They live in a spiritual poverty that keeps them from being a witness for Christ to unsaved relatives, friends, coworkers, etc., and that prevents them for being able to help fellow believers to grow up in Christ.

Are you failing to let the Word of God be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path? If so, daily surrender to the Lordship of Christ and the control of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18) so that you will have a love for, knowledge of the Word of God, and apply His instructions to all the areas of your life. Don’t be a dense believer! You cannot afford to be!

If you do not belong to the Lord Jesus, repent of all your sin (Luke 13:3,5), surrender your life to Him, trusting Him and Him alone to be your Lord and Savior!

CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

Satan always hates Christian fellowship; it is his policy to keep Christians apart. Anything which can divide saints from one another he delights in. He attaches far more importance to godly intercourse than we do. Since union is strength, he does his best to promote separation.

If you are an born-again believer and are not faithfully attending a Bible-believing and teaching church, you are in direct disobedience to your Lord and Savior, and are making possible for Satan to have inroads in your life, family, etc. (Ephesians 4:27).

The Scriptures make it very clear as to why Christian fellowship is vitally important and our text is one of them. We need to be exhorting (encouraging) one another as only fully surrendered to the Lordship of Christ, obedient, Spirit-controlled believers (Ephesians 5:18) can do.

Remember that Jesus sent His disciples out in service two by two. Also, we are laborers TOGETHER with God (1 Corinthians 3:9). The books of Acts and the church epistles refutes “lone rangerism.” When you stand at the Judgment Seat of Christ for the examination of your relationship and service for Christ, no excuses will be accepted. We cannot be effective in reaching people for Him and the discipleship of each other, if we are living in disobedience.

TWO SHORT SENTENCES

To have the forgiveness of sins and possess the gift of eternal life, one must realize that they can’t do anything to earn forgives and eternal life. They must admit that they are a sinner (Romans 3:23), as a result they are living under the condemnation of sin and God and that salvation is the result of God’s grace, undeserved favor, provided through Christ’s paying the penalty of all sin on the Cross and His victorious resurrection over sin, death and the grave to provide the forgiveness of sin and the GIFT of eternal life for all who will repent of their sins (Luke 13:3,5) and receive Him as their Lord and Savior.

THE REAL TEST

The real test of a saint is not one's willingness to preach the gospel, but one's willingness to do something like washing the disciples' feet - that is, being willing to do those things that seem unimportant in human estimation but count as everything to God.

The born-again child of God, who does not walk humbly with their Lord and Savior and manifest His humility in daily living, will not be effective in making a difference in the lives of those with whom they come in contact with or have a ministry to on a regular basis. It does not matter how gifted we are with natural talents and spiritual gifts, we will not accomplish what the Lord wants us to accomplish and glorify Him, if we do not humbly serve Him and others. The Lord truly honors those who belong to Him, when they have the humble spirit of a servant. We must always remember Micah 6:8: “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” Such born-again believers are a joy to be around! They can say, I am what I am by the grace of God,” and Jesus Christ will have the preeminence in their lives. People will truly see Jesus in and through them!

PERSEVERANCE IS MORE THAN EDURANCE

The born-again, Spirit-filled believer (Ephesians 5:18) endures whatever they must and does not consider quitting their service for the Lord, because they have the absolute assurance that their work is not in vain, that the Lord Jesus will be glorified, and that they will be richly rewarded at the Judgment Seat of Christ (1 Corinthians 3:9-15 -vs. 14).

After all the Lord Jesus has done for us, how can we not faithfully and with whole-hearted love endure with absolute assurance persecution or anything else for Him and His glory?

Everything you do at church, in the workplace and everywhere is sacred ministry that must done with endurance and absolute assurance of His favor and reward.

GIVING IS WORSHIP

Worship is giving God the best that He has given you. Be careful what you do with the best you have. Whenever you get a blessing from God, give it back to Him as a love gift. Take time to meditate before God and offer the blessing back to Him in a deliberate act of worship. If you hoard a thing for yourself, it will turn into spiritual dry rot, as the manna did when it was hoarded. God will never let you hold a spiritual thing for yourself; it has to be given back to Him that He may make it a blessing to others.

Every good and perfect gift comes from our Heavenly Faither (James 1:17) so whether we give of our money, material blessings, etc., He will use them to bless others; to bring lost people to salvation in Christ, to disciple fellow believers in their walk with the Lord, and to meet financial, material needs of others to the praise of His glory. Since all that we have or ever will have comes from our Heavenly Father, is is only right that they should be surrendered to Hi to use in any way He desires.

YOUR EYES

What are your eyes looking at? Are they seeing difficulties or are they seeing the awesome character and power of your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who loves you more than anyone else can, and who will not withhold anything good from those who belong to Him and obey Him (Psalm 84:11; Romans 8:28; John 14:15)?

David cast his burdens on the Lord, was sustained by his Lord, was not moved (shaken), and experienced the Lord’s power and richest blessings. We must in the times of difficulties discipline our minds to look and concentrate on the love and greatness of our Lord. If we do, we will experience His perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3; Philippians 4:6-7) and the fullness of His joy (John 15:11).

So again I ask, What are your eyes looking at?

THE BEDROCK OF CHRISTIANITY

Every now and again, Our Lord lets us see what we would be like if it were not for Himself; it is a justification of what He said - "Without Me you can do nothing." That is why the bedrock of Christianity is personal, passionate devotion to the Lord Jesus.

It is only as we develop a personal, passionate devotion to the Lord Jesus that we will victors in our daily lives for His glory as Joshua was. We, like him, will love and adhere to the Word of God in all the areas of our lives, experiencing the Lord’s power, His richest blessings, and bear super-abundant fruit for His glory and for the glory of our Heavenly Father. We, like John the Baptist, will be consumed with becoming more like Christ so people will see our Lord and Savior and not us! His character, the Fruit of the Spirit, will be a living reality in every area of our lives and relationships. Individual believers lives and their churches will be powerless and no attraction to the unsaved if a personal, passionate devotion to Christ is missing.

SATISFIED

The man or woman who does not know God demands an infinite satisfaction from other human beings which they cannot give, and in the case of the man, he becomes tyrannical and cruel. It springs from this one thing, the human heart must have satisfaction, but there is only one Being who can satisfy the last abyss of the human heart, and that is the Lord Jesus Christ.

What satisfaction the Lord Jesus gives to every person who knows Him as Lord and Savior, and daily establishes a close, intimate relationship with Him! We have the wonderful responsibility and privilege of sharing the Gospel with those who are still in their sins that they may come to repentance of sin and trust Him as their Lord and Savior so they can experience super-abundant life in Him!

His grace, mercies, strength, and provisions are satisfying beyond human description. The Lord doesn’t withhold any good thing from those seek Him and allow Him to have the preeminence in their lives (Psalm 34:9-10).

If you are not one of His, trust the Lord Jesus and Him alone to be your Lord and Savior NOW, while you can!

In fact, you better not have your eyes closed when driving! We need to always practice His presence and enjoy fellowship with Him as well as interceding for others. You are precious to Him, and He has purchased you with His precious blood (Ephesians 1:7). He desires your loving fellowship! No one cares for you like Jesus! He should be our first love (Revelation 2:4). “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” we sing but do we live as though that is true?

If He is not your Friend, Lord and Savior because you have not repented of all your sin (Luke 13:3,5) and surrendered your life to Him, do so now, while you have the opportunity! The only guarantee of life we have is the breath we are drawing.

Have you as a born-again child of God done things that you are ashamed of? Have you stepped out of fellowship with your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and have or are presently living in disobedience to him and His Word and are paying the consequences? It matters not what you have done, He still loves you and wants to restore you back to fellowship with Jim. He wants you to leave your broken, irreversible past and step out into an invincible future of blessing and fruitfulness for Him and your good. Remember 1 John 1:9: “f we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose]” (Amplified Bible).

David did some horrible things but the Lord restored Him and used David greatly for His glory.

Are you taking time daily to get alone with your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to enjoy intimate fellowship with Him and to take from Him all the strength, wisdom, grace, guidance, and encouragement needed? Are you lettimg Him feed you with His Word so that you can nourished spiritually and be spiritually healthy in all situations that come your way? If you do not come apart and let the Lord strengthen you, you will fall apart spiritually, emotionally, and Satan will be able to do great damage in your life. There is victory in Jesus when we maintain a passionate relationship wirh Him. So don’t just sing that great hymn, “Victory in Jesus” but let Him make it a reality in all areas of your life!

If He is not your Lord and Savior, come to the Lord Jesus NOW! Repent of all your sin and trust Him and Him alone to be your Lord and Savior, while you you can!

Your life and message (both must go together) will convict them of sin. Many will not want to be your friend. You will experience many injustices and persecutions for the Lover of your soul. However, loving and obeying the One who saved you from eternal damnation is vastly more important! An intimate relationship with Him will be more satisfying than anything else.

If those who do not belong to the Lord Jesus love you and you have a great love for them and the things that go against the Lord, His character and will, you better check your so-called relationship with Him.

I know that some are always studying the meaning of the fourth toe of the right foot of some beast in prophecy and have never used either foot to go and bring men to Christ. I do not know who the 666 is in Revelation but I know the world is sick, sick, sick and the best way to speed the Lord's return is to win more souls for Him.

Do you invite people to buy something, attend an event, etc., but don’t plead with them to come to Christ for salvation?

SHRINKING OR GROWING?

Growing up in Jesus is true growth!

Recently I had my annual doctor’s appointment and the nurse measured my height. It is 5’ and .52”, whatever that is. Now I used to be 5’9” but I guess life has beaten me down! LOL However, as you grow older, you shrink some. Maybe some day I will be a modern Zacchaeus! LOL With aging, we my shrink in physical stature but we should always be growing in spiritual stature, becoming more like the Lord Jesus and giants in the faith.

We should be constantly growing in His character, the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Are you daily growing and manifesting the Lord’s love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control so that you can be effective in reaching lost people with the Gospel of Christ and help fellow believers to grow in spiritual stature?

If this is not true of you because Jesus Christ is not your Lord and Savior, come to Him today, before it is too late!

Holiness for the born-again believer means that their sins have been forgiven, they are set apart for their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to enjoy an intimate relationship with Him, to grow more and more into His likeness, and to conform all areas of their lives according to the teachings and principles of His Word. If a born-again believer, regardless of their career, is going to hold to this truth and proclaim it, they will not be popular with many.

If you are going to experience the Lord’s richest blessings and be used for His glory, you must establish this type of relationship with Him!

If you are still in your sins and living under the wrath of God (John 3:18, 36), repent of all your sin (Luke 13:3,5) and receive Jesus Christ NOW as your LORD AND SAVIOR!

Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, our Creator and Lord and Savior has said the following and it is all true because of His moral perfections! He said that He is the only way to the Father and Heaven. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). He said that He has prepared for us a home in Heaven with Him forever through His redemptive work (John 14:2-3). He said that He is with us always (Matthew 28:b “…lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen”). He said that He wants us to experience the fullness of His joy. (“These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full”). He has made other statements and promises that we can trust, because He is God and because of His moral perfections. Develop a close, intimate relationship with your Lord and Savior!

If you are not one of His, receive Him as your Lord and Savior, before it is too late!

BROKEN

God uses broken things. It takes broken soil to produce a crop, broken clouds to give rain, broken grain to give bread, broken bread to give strength. It is the broken alabaster box that gives forth perfume. It is Peter, weeping bitterly, who returns to greater power than ever.

The nearness of our Lord Jesus in the times of our different types of brokenness is such a comfort, encouragement and help. It is great to know that He desires a close relationship with us at all times but it sure is a special blessing in our times of brokenness.

What brokenness are you experiencing today? Don’t be discouraged but realize that the Lord wants to experience His closeness and that He wants to use your brokenness to minister to others. He wants to you use in those times to be a special witness to lost people who need Christ and to show fellow believers the power of the Lord in every situation.

If you are not one of His, come to the Lord Jesus with a broken heart because you are a sinner (Roman 3:23) in need of forgiveness and the gift of eternal life. Repent of all your sin (Luke 13:3,5) and receive Him as your Lord and Savior!

Paul did not consider any sacrifice too great in loving and serving the Lord Jesus Christ, making many sacrifices during His service for the Lord, including dying as a martyr for Him.

When we think of what Jesus has done to save us from sin, give us the gift of eternal life, make us His forever to enjoy His glory and all the things He has prepared for us that is beyond our human comprehension, we should be willing to make any sacrifice for Him! What amazing love and grace the Lord Jesus has manifested toward us!
