The moral character of many in the world is very low. The reason is that many do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and, therefore, have not been made a new creation in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17).

However, there are born-again believers with a low moral character because they are not living all the areas of their lives in obedience to His Word. If a believer does not possess the excellence of moral character and, therefore, are living in disobedience to their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, they will not be a joyful, victorious believer, experience His richest blessings, be a fruitful ambassador for Christ in bringing lost people to salvation in Him nor help fellow believers to grow in the likeness of Christ. You need to get things right with the Lord, get back into fellowship with Him regardless of what you have done (1 John 1:9), and let the Lord use you mightily for His glory.

If you have not repented of all your sin (Luke 13:3,5) and received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, come to Him NOW, while you can!

SITUATIONS

The Fruit of the Spirit is, …love, joy peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance…” (Galatians 5:22-23)

Born-again believers, daily surrendered to the Lord Jesus and the control of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18) will make the situations. They will respond to them with the character of Christ and will always be faithful to the instructions of His Word. Therefore, they will not be defeated by various situations, but will use each one to reveal His attitude aof His Wordnd to advance the truth of God’s Word so that lost people can come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and that fellow believers will be established in the Word.

Are situations defining you or are you using all your situations as the means to glorify your Lord and Savior?

If you have not become a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), repent of all your sin (Luke 13:3,5), trusting Him and Him alone to be your Lord and Savior.

Yes, Satan does not like it when the Lord blesses us for His glory, so Satan will do everything possible to get us not to appreciate the blessings, miss use them or use them for selfish purposes. Satan knows that we should use them to reach others for Christ and to help fellow believers to grow up in Christ. I am glad the Lord opens the windows of heaven to bless us an, as we walk close to Him and in obedience to Him, He defeats Satan’s blasts for our good but, even more importantly, for His glory.

GOD’S WAY OF GIVING

God has a way of giving by the cartloads to those who give away by shovelfuls.

Our Lord’s giving in generous and He loves to bless us! As our text says, He will not withhold any good thing from those who seek Him. In Psalm 84:11, we read, “For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”

What a glorious truth Paul states in Ephesians 3:20-21: “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” His blessings now are just a drop in the bucket of all our eternal riches that He is going to give to all who belong to Him!

The fact that every aspect of our lives as born-again believers is arranged and appointed by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, ought to instill in us His perfect peace and comfort.

What a blessing it is to know that He guides us with His eye (Psalm 32:8) and that we can trust Him to direct all our paths ( Proverbs 3:5-6). What a comfort it is to be able trust His loving heart, a love that cannot be described or comprehended with our poor finite minds, and demonstrated by His death on the cross and triumphant resurrection to provide forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life for all who will come to Him!

Because of His great, indescribable love for us, we, who belong to the Lord Jesus, ought to daily give thanks to Him for all that He is, has done for us, is doing for us, and will do. We should not give Him thanks just for all the blessings which He pours out upon us, but also for His perfect peace, mercies, and every type of grace that He gives for every situation. We should be showing to everyone that He is the Lover of our souls and that we cannot praise Him enough. In every situation of life, blessings and trials, we should make sure that He has the preeminence!

Yes, Satan is taking many people to Hell by mixing truth with error so that they will not trust Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior. Satan loves to try to get people to trust various types of works along with faith, (which is not real faith because real faith knows that works of any kind cannot contribute to their salvation), than to admit that there is nothing they can do to save themselves. Unregenerate people do not like to admit that they are unable to earn their way to Heaven so Satan exploits their sinful, proud nature. Genuine faith says, “I am a sinner but Christ has paid the penalty demanded for sin by His death on the Cross and rose victorious over sin, death and the grave to give me the forgiveness of my sins and the gift of eternal life.”

Are you trusting Him and Him alone to be your Lord and Savior? If not come to the Lord Jesus NOW, before it is too late!

Perhaps you were raised in a godly home, perhaps went to a Christian school of were home schooled, brought up in a good Bible-believing, Bible teaching church, and claim to be a born-again believer. Are you really? What you really believe is revealed by how you live and what is a matter of life and death to you. Are you like the Apostle Paul who magnified the Lord Jesus at all times in every area of His life and who was willing and did die as a martyr for Christ? Do you profess or are you really a possessor of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Ask yourself this question. “What changes have taken place in my life because I trusted Jesus Christ to be my Lord and Savior?” Your answer will indicate what you really are!

Yes, the happiness of born-again believers depends only on our relationship to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (the Beloved, Ephesians 1:6) Who will never die. He has told us in His Word that our happiness and joy are based upon our obedience to Him and His Word, such as our text. Also, remember Psalm 1:1-3: “ Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

So if you wand genuine happiness and joy, which is not based on happenings, you must daily submit to His Lordship, develop a passionate relationship with Him, thereby, submitting to the authority and control of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.

As a born-again child God, what does the Lord see regarding your heart? Does He see bitterness, hard feelings toward someone, anger, malice, sinful motives and intentions, etc. Or does He see a heart filled with forgiveness toward others, attitudes of peace, joy, pure thoughts and actions, a consuming desire to share the Gospel with the lost and to encourage and build up fellow believers in their walk with Him?

If you are not one of His, the Lord Jesus sees a heart under the condemnation of sin (John 3:18, 36) and desires to give you the forgiveness of your sins and the gift of eternal life, if you will repent of all your sin (Luke 13:3,5) and reeive Him as your Lord and Savior. Come to Him NOW, while you can!

Yes, I can make plans but they may not be according to the Lord’s plans for me. The success I may have imagined cannot compare to the success He gives when He overrules my plans and makes real His for me.

Every day we need to commit ourselves to His Lordship and ask Him to lead us and fulfill His plans for us. When we do, the Lord will give us His richest blessings and use us tremendously for His glory.

From the time we wake up until we go to sleep at night, we ought to be consumed with living well-pleasing in His sight. We need to ask ourselves the following questions. Do we have the smile of the Lord on…

-the way we do our work

-our motives

-our attitudes

-the stewardship of our finances and possessions

-the use of our natural talents and spiritual gifts

-all your relationships, etc.?

What blessings He gives when we have His smile on every part of our lives!

THE CHRISTIAN GOSPEL

The Christian Gospel is that I am so flawed that Jesus had to die for me, yet I am so loved and valued that Jesus was glad to die for me. I do not think more of myself or less of myself. Instead, I think of myself less.

Yes, every born-again child of God, recognizing that they are a sinner saved by the grace of God, should walk humbly with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with the sole desire that He have the preeminence in all the areas of their life. When that is the case, they will be effective ambassadors for Him, pointing lost souls to Christ and effective in the discipleship of fellow believers.

Do the people who know you and to whom you come in contact with know that Jesus Christ is preeminent in your life?

Corrie Ten Boom knew the reality of that promise!

We do not know what will happen tomorrow, next week, next month, next year, etc. but we do know that our Sovereign Creator, Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ is already there. What a tremendous peace and comfort that should give to every born-again child of God.

As you contemplate different decisions regarding your future, you can commit them all to Him, and the Lord Jesus by His Holy Spirit and with the principle of His Word lead you and give you His wisdom to make the right decisions. I am so glad for His promise in Psalm 32:8: “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” He will never leave nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

If you do not belong to the Lord Jesus, He wants you to come to Him NOW, before it is too late. Don’t spurn His grace and reject His love.

-always provide all their needs (Philippians 4:19)

-always give them every type of comfort needed (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

-always give them every type of grace needed (1 Peter 5:10)

-always give them perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3-4)

-give them an eternal home with Him (John 14:2-3), etc.

We cannot do works to get saved and become rightrous (Ephesians 2:8-9) but when we are born-again, we are to do works of righteousness by the power of the Lord Jesus, doing everything that pleases Him in all the areas of our lives. Then we can effectively point the lost to Christ, be eamples to our fellow believers, helping them to become more like Jesus. Our greatest desire every day ought to be growing in His likeness (John 3:30). Are you going to be more like Jesus today than yesterday? If you walk totally surrendered to Him, you will be!
