By the power of the Holy Spirit, he turned every problem, obstacle into the the opportunity to glorify Christ because he was determined to love, serve and glorify his Lord and Savior in every situation, including martyrdom.

If your daily attitude is to develop a passionate relationship with the Lord Jesus and to glorify Him, you will turn all your obtacles into opportunities to glorify Him.

Like the Apostles of our Lord and Savior, we ought to expect that we will be treated as our Lord was and count it a privilege and honor to suffer for His sake, whether it is losing your job because you belong to Him and will not compromise or suffer some other injustice because of your faith or even die as a martyr for Him. Walk so close to Him every day so that you will be like Him in everything you do!

As you talk to your best friend regarding all you joys and tough times, the Lord wants you to talk to Him about those matters too, because no one cares as much as He does. He will supply all your needs, give you every type of strength, comfort, encouragement, and guidance through His Word that you need. There is no one who wants your fellowship as much as He does!

HEART’S ATTITUDE

Yes, it doesn’t matter if you kneel to pray or take some other position, you will not get answers to your prayers unless you have a humble spirit. The humble believer recognizes that they do not deserve anything from the Lord and that He has given them everything they possess. They recognize that they are completely dependent on the Lord to be all that He wants them to be and accomplish all that He wants them to accomplish. They do not pray with a selfish spirit nor compare themselves with others whom they think are better than. The humble believer will not only receive grace from their Lord but be given everything else they need.

If you are not one of His, you need to come to the Lord Jesus and receive the gift of eternal life, by repenting of all your sin (Luke 13:3,5), trusting Him and Him alone to be your Lord and Savior.

Yes, we do not like afflictions, but the Lord uses them to teach us more about Himself, His Word, and His will. If you are in the school of affliction, let the Lord do His perfect work in and through you!

The word, “followers” means “imitators.” As children imitate their parents, born-again believers must imitate their Heavenly Father and Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18; Galatians 5:22-23).

Your unsaved, relatives, friends, coworkers, neighbors, etc., do not care what you believe, if your life does not show the reality of Jesus Christ, His love and character in all the areas of your life. If you say that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior, they expect you to act, respond, live as He would and they do not expect you to compromise with sin and their behavior. When you do, they do not take serious your profession nor see any reason that they should surrender their lives to Christ. Therefore, you actually help them on their way to Hell and you will have to give an account for that to your Lord. It is a very serious matter when we live in such a way that people do not see Jesus Christ in us. Our walk does count far more than our talk!

#2 – Adoring and praising Him for His perfections. As we make a list of His attributes and tell Him how much we love and adore Him for all that He is, we will be motivated to failfully serve and obey Him in all areas of our lives.

Some born-again children of God talk about wanting to be like Jesus in all areas of their lives, but they spend very little time in fellowship with their Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus.

All of us can spend a lot of time talking to each other but how much time do we spend enjoying the presence of our Lord? He wants our fellowship and where we meet with Him ought to be to us the most beloved spot on earth

We need His fellowship to get His strength and wisdom in order to serve Him effectively and to receive from Him every type of grace, comfort and encouragement needed.

Let’s make fellowship with Him our highest priority!

He does not want you to be shaken (Psalm 55:22).

We all have problems and will have until we get home! How we handle those problems, how we respond to them makes all the difference in the world whether we will experience our Lord’s richest blessings and be used tremendously for His glory, producing abundant fruit to the praise of His glory or suffer spiritual and emotional defeat.

Corrie ten Boom is a great example of how to handle problems by letting her Lord’s promises shine on hers.

Our Lord has not only promised to give us eternal at the moment we repent of all our sin and receive Him as our Lord and Savior, but He has promised to meet all our needs (Philippians 4:19), give us His strength for every problem (Philippians 4:13), mercy and every type of grace needed at exactly the time we need it (1 Peter 5:10; Hebrews 4:16).

The Thessalonian believers, when they received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, did not try to succeed in things that didn’t matter so they were not failures!

Today, we need to succeed in the things that matter….

-establishing an intimate relationship with our Lord

-knowing and living out the instructions of His Word in all areas of our lives

-doing everything we can to share the gospel with lost people and bring them to Christ

-disciple fellow believers, etc.

We need to live every day with eternities values in view!

So many times our service for the Lord is weak, lacking His power and blessing because we are filled with ourselves, our dependence upon our puny strength, our faulty wisdom, our ways of doing things instead of spending time in fellowship with our Lord, letting Him fill us with His wisdom from His Word, His power, and doing service the way He wants it done. May we always spend time with Him, letting Him fill our hearts with Himself and His ways!
