Yes, if we are living for ourselves or any other purpose than loving, serving, and glorifying our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we are wasting our lives.

Whatever careers He has called us to, it is our responsibility to live for Him and magnify Him in those careers. Of course, we are not going to be able to do that if we do not have a passionate relationship with Him and are totally surrendered to His Lordship.

The measure of your life is not how much money you make, whether or not you are well known but your intimate relationship with Him, allowing Him to enjoy you, whom He created for His pleasure (Revelation 4:11), and allowing Him to be preeminent in all areas of your life. Then you will be living with eternity’s values in view! Your theme will be, “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30).

As a child of God, are you taking their love for granted or are you enjoying a close, passionate love relationship with them? The genuine degree of your love relationship will be proven by your obedience! Jesus says, “If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15).

When we love someone, we want to spend as much time as possible with them! Are you spending as much time as possible in loving fellowship with your Heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus, and the Holy Spirit? There is no greater relationship!

The One who create you (John 1:3) and who has purchased you with His precious blood (1 Peter 1:18-19) cares about EVERY DETAIL of your life and Peter instructs us to cast ALL OUR CARES upon Him for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). As we do, the Lord Jesus gives us His perfect peace (Isaiag 26:3-4) which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).

So take every detail of your life to Him, knowing that He will give you everything you need for every situation!

Our Lord does not want us just to obey Him; He wants us to do so heartily, with all our might. We should do so after all He has done for us! Since He paid the penalty for all our sin, purchased us with His precious blood, made us His forever, the objects of His eternal love and grace, we ought to serve Him with all our might.

With all our might we should be working to bring lost people to salvation in Christ, helping fellow believers to grow up in Him.

With all out might we ought to use all our talents and spiritual gifts for His honor and glory in every area of our lives!

Are you heartily serving the One who has saved by His grace from eternal damnaton?

Paul was ready to die because he was faithfully obeying the Lord, His Word, and doing His will.

You are not ready as a born-again believer, if you are not sharing the Gospel with lost relatives, friends, coworkers, etc., and helping fellow believers to understand the Word of God, and to grow in their relationship with the Lord Jesus. Of course, one must regarding that matter is setting a Biblical example. If you have no desire to do these things, you need to seriously examine yourself as to whether or not you have been born-again.

It is wonderful, inspiring, encouraging and a great comfort to know that we have been LOVINGLY POSITIONED by Him!

We will live in every situation with eternity’s values in view!

If we want to have a close, intimate relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we will have tender hearts that want to be completely conformed to His Word and will. We will not want any known sin to hinder our fellowship with Him. When we major on making sure that our own faults are dealt with before Him, we will be very charitable, gracious, and tender to the faults of others and not judgmental. We will be humble, selfless people always striving to help others regarding their faults and not let those faults divide us. Divine love does not gossip, criticize, get upset and refuse to talk to each other. It seeks to reconcile where reconciliation is needed and will do everything that has to be done to accomplish it. It will lovingly pray for people with faults and seek the Lord for wisdom how to help those people. So concentrate on your own and you will see that you will have a completely different attitude toward others with theirs. You will even find yourself overlooking certain faults.

Yes, it should greatly frighten every born-again believer to not take the way of escape from temptation, because that failure will bring great sorrow and ruin to our lives. As a result, we will not be able to win lost people to Christ and establish godly examples for fellow believers to imitate so that they can grow up in Christ, experience His character and victories in their lives, and produce super-abundant fruit to the praise of His glory. Satan and his host of demons will do everything possible to exploit the sinful nature that you still possess to devour you testimony for Christ and keep your from victoriously serving Him. In every moment of temptation, take the way of escape that the Lord makes available to you!

Christianity has had many men and women who possessed great Bible knowledge and educational degrees, who also turned out to be failures in their attempts to serve the Lord or who have fallen into sin and ruined their lives and the lives of others. Satan is not impressed with our knowledge of God’s Word, our educational achievements, talents, and spiritual gifts. He knows that if he can get us not to walk humbly with and humbly serve the Lord, pride will bring us down and make us ineffective in serving the Lord. On the other hand, he knows that the Lord will mightily use the person who humbly walks with Him and obeys Him!

-to increase the use of their resources for His glory.

The reason many Bible-Believing, Bible-preaching churches are weak and not accomplishing much for the Lord is lack of humble, bold, Christlike leaders and members.

Some churches are compromising the truths of God’s Word, watering it down, and not boldly declaring it. They are more concerned with political correctness than Biblical correctness. Also, there is known sin taking place and there is a refusal to deal with it. Some ignore sinful actions, hoping things will get better, but they will not because of the failure to deal with it as our Lord has commanded. None of these things will be taking place, if we daily develop a close, passionate relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, allowing Him to manifest more and more His character, will, and power in our lives and, therefore in our ministries. May all of us who belong to Him settle for nothing less than becoming more and more like Him every day!

They know that they are only saved by His grace and have been purchased to be His by His precious blood (Ephesians 1:7). They realize that just as they could do nothing to save themselves so they also cannot accomplish anything of spiritual significance apart from His enabling power. Their sole boasting is His grace, love, and power! They have such a passionate love relationship with Him that the Lord Jesus can live out through them His character and purposes. May such a relationship characterize all of us who belong to Him!

5 REASONS I CAN TRUST THE LORD WITH EVERY DETAIL OF MY LIFE!

1. Nobody loves me or can love me as much as He does and His love is eternal!

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

2. He is the All-powerful Creator who can provide all my needs and more!

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. - John 1:3

3. He is all-wise and therefore will only do what is best for me!

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! -Romans 11:33

4. He gives me every type of strength needed.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

OUT OF THE DEVIL’S REACH

The born-again child of God, who daily humbles himself or herself, submitting to the Lordship of Christ and the control of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18) and, therefore, to the authority of God’s Word, Satan is not able to reach to devour their life and testimony.

He is unable to get the to live a defeated Christian life.

He is unable to rob them of the joy of the Lord and His perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3-4).

If you are living a defeated Christian life, humble yourself before the Lord and ask His forgiveness (1 John 1:9). Every day from now on, make the decision to walk humbly with Him and stay out of Satan’s reach.

HUMILITY AND GUIDANCE

He that is down needs fear no fall. He that is low, no pride; He that is humble, ever shall have God to be his Guide.

Psalm 10:17

The born-again believer who walks humbly with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, will have their desires fulfilled because their desires will be in tune with His and His Word. “Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart” (Psalm 37:4).

They will enjoy rich fellowship with Him. They will receive from Him guidance for every area of their lives and enjoy His richest blessings.

Unsaved people will see the results of such a relationship and will be willing to listen to the Gospel from such a child of God.

Fellow believers will see the results of such a relationship and desire to be discipled so that can have it too.

ARE YOU WILLING?

One of our troubles is we are not willing to humble ourselves. We are not willing to give up our opinions as to how things should be done.

Born-again believers, who are not willing to humble themselves and give up their opinions on how things should be done, will not experience the wisdom of Christ, His leadership, and richest blessings in all areas of their lives. Such believers are not enjoying the marriages that the Lord wants them to enjoy, are misusing their finances, talents, spiritual gifts, making decisions that they will regret the rest of their lives. In our churches, pastors and other leaders sometimes are not willing to give up their own opinions on what should be done and follow the the Lord’s directions in His Word, resulting in powerless ministries and not accomplishing all that the Lord wants them to for His glory.

It is ridiculous for us to hold on to our opinions when we can have the perfect directions of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

UNDERSTANDING HUMILITY

Humility does not mean thinking less of yourself than of other people, nor does it mean having a low opinion of your own gifts. It means freedom from thinking about yourself one way or the other at all.

“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.”

James 4:10

Yes, genuine humility is not having a low opinion of yourself or denying your talents and spiritual gifts. That is dishonesty! Genuine humility is having the attitude of Christ, who died for and in our place to provide forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life. It is putting the interests of others before our own. “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others” (Philippians 2:4). It is the recognition that all that we are and have is because our Lord has made us what we are and everything we have comes from Him. It is an unselfish spirit which seeks the good of others through sacrificial behavior. It is the desire to glorify the Lord Jesus in everything we do and not ourselves. “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31).

THE SOURCE OF HUMILITY

The source of humility is the habit of realizing the presence of God.

When the born-again child of God daily and moment by moment realize the presence of their Lord and Savior, they will remember that they are a sinner saved by grace, that they are no better than anyone else, that without continual dependence upon the Lord they cannot bear fruit for His glory, that they are what they are by His grace (1 Corinthians 15:10). They will walk humbly with their Lord and Savior and refuse to let sinful pride rule their minds and hearts.

So from the time you wake up and go to bed at the end of your day, recognize His presence with you and your will humbly serve Him and others.

If Jesus Christ is not your Lord and Savior and, therefore, you have not become a new creation in Him, repent of all your sin (Luke 13:3,5), trusting Him and Him alone to be your Lord and Savior, before it is too late!

DIVINE WISDOM

Not until we have become humble and teachable, standing in awe of God's holiness and sovereignty. Acknowledging our own littleness, distrusting our own thoughts, and willing to have our minds turned upside down, can divine wisdom become ours.

Many born-again Christians are making a mess of their lives and making wrong decisions in all the areas of their lives, including their political positions, because they are walking after their own wisdom or that of their friends, instead of the wisdom of their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Satan is very happy about that because such believers will not be effective in bringing the lost to Christ and the discipleship of fellow believers in the likeness of Christ.

We must live in vital fellowship with our Lord, be submissive to Him and His Word so that we can experience His wisdom in every area of our lives to the praise of His glory.

Yes, when we look into the perfect Word of God and see the description of what we really are, we are kept from pride, seeing the horribleness of our sinful nature, and the indescribable grace of our Lord in saving us from our sins and giving to us the gift of eternal life. We have no problem living with a humble attitude! As we study God’s Word, we need to let the Holy Spirit make real its truths in all areas of lives so that we don’t even attempt to make ourselves look good in the sight of others but rejoice in the fact that we are new creations in Christ, and allow Him to be preeminent and glorified in every area of our lives.

If you are not a born-again child of God, repent of all your sin (Luke 13:3,5) and receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior NOW!

WHAT IS YOUR WEAKNESS?

Deny your weakness, and you will never realize God's strength in you.

Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

What is your weakness? Perhaps you have more than one. Many born-again believers fall into sin because they are not honest regarding their weaknesses and, therefore, do not seek their Lord’s wisdom and strength for victory over them. Others allow their weaknesses to discourage them and keep them from serving the Lord in ways that He wants to use them. They miss out on the victories and special blessings that He wants them to experience. As Paul was victorious regarding his weaknesses through the power of Christ, our Lord wants us to be completely victorious for His glory as well as our good.

I hope you will commit your weaknesses to the Lord and watch Him do great things in and through you to the praise of His glory!

PROOFS THAT YOUR LOVE IS INCREASING

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

Galatians 5:22-23

You can track yourself to find out how much you are increasing in the experience and manifestation of your Savior’s love. Humility and patience are part of the Fruit of the Spirit so the more you are surrendered to the Lordship of Christ and the control of the Holy Spirit, the more of the proofs of humility and patience will be seen, along with the other aspects of the Fruit of the Spirit. “Love”, agape love manifests humble, unselfish concern for others, the unselfish pursuit of another’s needs at any cost. “Longsuffering, “ (patience, endurance), is the sure sign of genuine love.

So I ask you, are you in all your relationships and all areas of your daily life revealing the proof of Jesus’ love?

If He is not your Lord and Savior, come to the Lord Jesus NOW, while you can!

We, who belong to the Lord Jesus, ought to daily be submissive to His Lordship, so that we will walk humbly with Him and manifest His humility to all with whom we come in contact; to those who do not belong to Him so that we can effectively share the Gospel with them; to our fellow believers so that they will have a consuming desire to become more like Him and to glorify Him in all areas of their lives.

As a born-again believer, do your unsaved friends, neighbors, coworkers, relatives, business associates, etc., know that you belong to the Lord Jesus because they see His character lived out in your daily life?

If you do not belong to the Lord Jesus, come to Him NOW, before it is too late!

If you are a born-again believer, the Lord expects you to love Him with your entire being (Matthew 22:37). After all He has purchased you with His precious blood, saved you from all your sins, given you the gift of eternal life, a home with Him forever, and the privilege and honor of serving Him. Therefore, we should…

- seek the salvation of others at any cost.

-seek to help each other become more like the Lord Jesus at any cost. -seek to honor Him in our careers at any cost.

-seek to love our enemies at any cost (Matthew 5:44).

-seek to use our talents and spiritual gifts for the glory of Christ at any cost.

Etc.

If Jesus Christ is not your Lord and Savior, repent of all your sin (Luke 13:3,5) and surrender your life to Him NOW, while you have the opportunity!

Are You Authentic?

Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

Matthew 7:20

The Lord Jesus spoke these words regarding false teachers but the same is true regarding everyone.

If you have been saved by the grace of God and belong to the Lord Jesus, you have made a new creation in Him, old things are passing away and all thongs are becoming new (2 Corinthians 5:21). Are you walking in close fellowship with Him every day so that everyone is seeing that He is being revealed more and more in your life and you are being seen less and less?

Do people think of you as being just a religious person or do they know that you are a miracle, a transformed person because you have passed from death to life by repentance of your sins (Luke 13:3,5) and the receiving of Jesus Christ as your own personal Lord and Savior?

Do they know you are authentic because you manifest His character, the fruit of the Spirit in every area of your life (Galatians 5:22-23)? Do you walk your talk or is your profession an empty one to those who know you?

If we daily we yield to the Lordship of Christ and the control of the Holy Spirit, we will be authentic and be used by the Holy Spirit to lead lost souls to Christ and to disciple fellow believers in their walk with the Lord.

If you are not one of His, come to the Lord Jesus right now, asking Him to forgive you all your sins and to be your Lord and Savior, while you can. “He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life” – 1 John 5:12.

It matters not what a person does to make themselves look good; if they do not belong to the Lord Jesus Christ, they are still a sinner, separated from God and dwelling under the wrath of God (John 3:18, 36). They can give their possessions to feed the poor, go to church every week, etc. but their situation is still the same. Only the Lord Jesus, who paid the penalty for all sin, can forgive their sin and make them a new creation in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17). If you are not one of His, come to Him now, while you can. “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life” – 1 John 5:12.

If you are one of His but not living in fellowship with and obedient to Him, you can do everything possible to make yourself look good in the eyes of your fellow Christians and unsaved people, but you are still a rebellious child of God, living under your Lord’s disapproval and chastisement, robbing yourself of His richest blessings. 1 John 1:9 is written to you and every child of God out of fellowship with Him: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

What a horrible thing it is to remain a sinner under the wrath of God instead of being a friend of God by receiving Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Likewise, it is a horrible thing to be a child of God and not obeying the One who loves you more than anyone else can and who desires to bless you abundantly for His glory.

The passion of the Lord Jesus was to seek and to save the lost. He died and paid the penalty for all sin and rose victorious over sin, death, and Satan to provide the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life for all who will come to Him. What passion!

We, who belong to Him, ought to daily manifest His consuming passion (we will if we are yielded to His Lordship) and be seeking with all of our being the salvation of lost relatives, friends, coworkers, enemies, etc. Is the passion of our Lord and Savior manifested in our daily living?

If He is not your Lord and Savior, repent of all your sins (Luke 13:3,5) and surrender your life to Him right now!

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” – Romans 10:13.

There are three huge gates that lead into the Cathedral of Milan. Over one gate there is an inscription in marble under a beautiful flower bouquet that says, “The things that please are temporary.” Over the second gate, there is a cross with this inscription: “The things that disturb us are temporary.” However, over the central gate, there is a big inscription saying, “Eternal are the important ones.”

Yes, we need live daily with eternities values in view, loving, obeying, serving our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in everything we do and, thereby, lay up treasures in Heaven (Matthew 6:19-21). Is that how you are living each day the Lord gives us?

$108,000 Putt

…Provide things honest in the sight of all men. – Romans 12:17B

As professional golfer Ray Floyd was getting ready to tap in a routine 9-inch putt, he saw the ball move ever so slightly. According to the rule book, if the ball moves in this way the golfer must take a penalty stroke. Yet consider the situation. Floyd was among the leaders in a tournament offering a top prize of $108,000. To acknowledge that the ball had moved could mean he would lose his chance for big money.

Writer David Holahan describes as follows what others might have done: “The athlete ducks his head and flails wildly with his hands, as if being attacked by a killer bee; next, he steps back from the ball, rubbing his eye for a phantom speck of dust, all the while scanning his playing partners and the gallery for any sign that the ball’s movement has been detected by others. If the coast is clear, he taps the ball in for his par.

Ray Floyd, however, didn’t do that. He assessed himself a penalty stroke and wound up with a bogey on the hole.
