Every born-again believer who walks daily in a close relationship to their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is sustained by His power and is invincible until the Lord takes them home by way of the Rapture or death. They are more than conquerors in Him!

We cannot experience defeat as long as we make the Lord Jesus, fellowship with Him, dependence upon Him our passion. He did not save us from our sins and give us the gift of eternal life to live a defeated life, but to produce super-abundant fruit to the praise of His glory and that of our Heavenly Father (John 15:16). When Jesus is our first love and we give Him obedience in all matters, we experience fullness of Joy (John 15:11).

If you do not have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, repent of all your sin (Luke 13:3,5) and trust Him and Him alone to be your Lord and Savior NOW, before it is too late. You will become a new creation in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17).

A.W. Tozer saw in his day that which has increased tremendously in our times. If many of our churches did not attract many born-again believers with certain programs and music that appeals to their emotions, etc., they would not have the attendance which they are so proud of. If it were announced next Sunday that they were going to just come worship the Lord without all the hoopla that the people are accustomed to and to just spend time praising the Lord and magnifying His character and studying His Word so that they can apply it to all areas of their lives, the attendance would sadly drop. Don’t get me wrong, many of the things we do are okay, but we better make sure if we don’t have those things, like fellow believers in other countries who have who simply come together to worship, that we find it exciting to come to church just to worship, adore our Lord and to hear from Him through His Word. We need to make sure we are worshiping Him in spirit and truth (John 4:24).

If you can’t do this because you are not one of His, repent of all your sin and receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior NOW!

Job knew what it meant to go through a dark and stormy night! Joesph is another prime example!

As we study God’s Word, we see many godly people who experienced these type of situations, and how the Lord greatly blessed them and used them for His honor and glory.

Are you experiencing one? When we do, it is vital that we force ourselves to remember the Lord’s eternal love for us, His magnificent grace, His mercies that endureth forever to each person who belongs to Him, and that “dark and stormy night” He will work together for our good.

The key to every born-again believer experiencing unspeakable, perfect peace is to trust in every situation their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who loves them more than anyone else can, and who will take care of them, giving them every type of strength needed. “Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:” (Isaiah 26:4). Also, this instruction must be followed! “Be careful (anxious) for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep (guard) your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7). In addition, this promise is stated to all who belong to the Lord Jesus. “The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace” (Psalm 29:11).

What precious promises we are given!

Many unsaved people have to Christ because a fitling word spoken regarding their situation. They have experienced the love of Christ in the attitude that accompanied the words, and they were willing to let that believer share the Gospel with them.

Likewise, many fellow believers have been encouraged and open to being discipled because of words of compassion and discernment from a brother or sister in Christ.

So daily submit to the Lordship of Christ and the control of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18) so that your words will make a difference in peoples lives!

This verse talks about the covenant the Lord made with David, the man He chose to fight Goliath, when he was a teen.

Every born-again child of God is chosen to serve the Lord in all the areas of their lives, and He wants them to be successful as well so that they will produce much fruit for His glory. You are chosen just as much as David was. Too be successful, you must maintain a close relationship with Him and daily submit to the control of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18) in good and tough times. When we do so, we will experience the fulness of His joy (John 15:11).

What a name and reputation! Barnabas was a great encourager!

Every born-again believer ought to be known as an encourager. There are discouraged people all around us; if not discouraged, at least going through some very tough times. There are moms and dads who are facing real challenges. There are people who are having health issues, others who are struggling at their jobs, etc. We need to let the Holy Spirit control us (Ephesians 5:18) so that we will live out daily Paul’s instruction to the believers at Thessalonica. “Wherefore comfort (encourage) yourselves together, and edify one another (build one another up), even as also ye do” (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

When we develop a close, intimate relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we will be a people known for praise and gratitude. The genuine relationship we have with our Lord in this area will be revealed in how much we are able to give genuine praise and gratitude to others. The deeper our praise and gratitude is to our Lord in intimate fellowship, the more spontaneous we will be in giving praise and gratitude to those who serve Him and us.

Gratitude encourages and is a great motivator to others in their walk and service to the Lord. Yes, we should be occupied primarily with receiving praise from the Lord, but He has designed us to be like Him and to give rightful praise and gratitude to others

If Jesus Christ is not your Lord and Savior, repent of all your sin (Luke 13:3,5) and place your faith and trust in Him and Him alone to be your Lord and Savior, while you still have the opportunity to do so.

-to share the Gospel with lost people (2 Corinthians 5:20).

-help fellow believers to grow in their walk with the Lord. (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

How much do you love the Lord Jesus? If you are a born-again believer and love Him with your entire being, there is nothing that will keep you from faithfully serving Him and doing His will, including the opposition of the “politically correct” crowd. You will be consumed with loving Him and being “Biblically Correct,” even if it means standing alone. You will be a “Joseph” to your generation and the Lord will use you greatly for His glory.

Do our lips and life agree? It is easy to say, “I love the Lord,” but does you life agree with your statement? Jesus says that if we love Him our lives will show it by loving obedience to Him. If we truly love Him….

-we will obey His instructions to share the Gospel with those who do not belong to Him? (Matthew 28:19-20; Proverbs 15:30; 2 Corinthians 5:20).

-we will have a fervent love for His Word (Psalm 119:15, 97).

-we will be students of His Word (2 Timothy 2:15).

-we will put Him and His will first in our lives (Matthew 6:33).

-we will disciple fellow-believers and help them to grow in the Lord (Matthew 28:20).

-we will be faithful stewards of all that He has given us and use them for His glory (1 Corinthians 4:2; 1 Peter 4:10).

We wil not be liars when we sin the song, “I Surrender All!”

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” - Ephesians 4:29

The Word of God has much to say about the speech of a born-again child of God. Our text makes it clear that no corrupt speech should be part of our communication. The word “corrupt” means that which is foul or rotten, such as spoiled fruit or putrid meat. Foul language of any sort is not to be a part of our lives because it is totally out of character with his new life in Christ. Our words should beinstructive, encouraging, uplifting, (even when it must be corrective), and suited for the moment (cf. Prov. 15:23; 25:11; 24:26). Because we have been saved by grace, are kept by grace, we should live and speak with grace, and our Lord set the standard. “And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth…(Luke 4:22A).

Does your speech indicate that you are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17)?

The born-again children of God ought to be the happiest people in the entire world because their sins are forgiven and they possess the gift of eternal life. Also, their Heavenly Father gives to them every good and perfect gift related to each one individually. Therefore, they should be extremey happy and contented in their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Remember this great verse: “Let your conversation (manner of life) be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Hebrews 13:5).

Are you a contented child of God because you have a close and passionate relationship with the Lord Jesus?

Every born-again believer is an extraordinary person because they have been purchased by the blood of christ and given the extraordinary purpose of serving Him in all areas of their lives to introduce lost people to Christ, and toi help develop fellow-believers in their walk with the Lord through the ministry of discipleship. They have been given natural talents and spiritual gifts to accomplish great things for the Lord and His glory. They should wake up every morning ready to be used to do the extraordinary purposes that their Lord and Savior has designed for them.
